Brand communication manager is accountable for building the strategic marketing communication plan for Japan and APAC along with the brand calendar and the digital marketing strategy and overseeing all related activities for Japan. This role demands a pragmatic mindset to enhance digital channel performance, craft compelling content, and seamlessly collaborate with stakeholders to align efforts with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic plans for the marketing communication concepts and messages.
  • Develop key marketing creatives aligned with global adidas creative direction and deliver them to APAC and Japan brand activation team.
  • Photoshoot seasonal key styles and Asia SMU products and deliver them to APAC and Japan bran activation team.
  • Responsible for managing and supervising marketing assets both sell in and sell through.
  • Ensure efficient execution of plans within the scope of the allocated MWB budgets.
  • Work closely with Carlsbad Golf HQ to plan adaptation and localization for global creative, and report background and the entire process of the local creative.
  • Attend the meeting held at adidas golf head office in Carlsbad (GTMSO) and actively join the discussion for future brand activation.
  • Define a digital strategy in line with business objectives and industry trends.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance customer experience, drive e-commerce sales, and boost brand visibility.
  • Oversee digital advertising performance, including bidding strategy, messaging, creatives, planning, and performance reporting.
  • Devise strategies to engage audiences effectively through digital channels and drive targeted customer traffic.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external partners to ensure top-notch execution within set timelines and budgets.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Brand and Digital Marketing experience/knowledge minimum of 5 yrs
  • Understanding and knowledge of Wholesale business
  • Willing to travel overseas
  • Passion for and understanding of SPORT and GOLF
  • Profound understanding of prevailing practices and techniques in e-commerce.
  • Strong supervisory, analytical, and research skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and formulate action plans, including prioritization, expected outcomes, and scheduling within budget constraints.
  • Proficient in presenting analyses, and action plans and obtaining smooth alignments/sign-offs.
  • Experience in planning and purchasing digital media across middle/lower funnels (SEO, listings, display ads including social media ads, retargeting, affiliate, etc.).
  • Capability to foster strong relationships with stakeholders in Japan and the APAC region.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Business-level proficiency in English (written and verbal).
  • Fluent in Japanese.
